La Corallina: Our Company Story
La Corallina was founded in Florence in 2010 as a craft workshop specializing in the creation of Made in Italy home décor accessories. From the very beginning, the project has been built on a clear vision: to combine creativity, aesthetic research, and artisanal craftsmanship to create unique and recognizable products.
Everything began in a small creative workshop in the heart of the city. Here, Gioia, the company’s founder, together with Piero, started a journey driven by intuition, passion, and continuous experimentation. A significant part of the foundation on which La Corallina has grown and continues to evolve is owed to him.
Over the years, La Corallina has developed while maintaining its family-run and artisanal nature. Caterina and Valentina later joined the project, carrying forward the work with consistency and sensitivity, and contributing to the brand’s evolution.
Around the workshop, a team took shape, composed of individuals with different skills but united by the same attention to detail: Lorenzo, Rachele—specialized in lampshade production—Valentina M. for textiles, and the artisans David and Massimo, key figures in the manual craftsmanship. Completing this reality, Elena and Fernanda welcome customers every day at the store on Elba Island, in Marina di Campo.
Over time, La Corallina has grown both structurally and in its vision: a Florence retail store was opened, its presence across the territory expanded, and collaborations were developed with prominent players in the fields of interior design, hospitality, and dining, both in Italy and abroad.
Since 2018, with the launch of its e-commerce platform, La Corallina has opened a new chapter in its story, making handcrafted placemats, lampshades, and home décor accessories available online, while preserving the quality and identity of the workshop.
Today, La Corallina continues to grow true to its origins: craftsmanship, Made in Italy production, and a strong focus on customization. Each product is born from a story made of people, hands, and ideas, carrying with it the value of shared work.
